On Selection Sunday, the Wisconsin Badger's earned the #4 seed in the East Bracket of the 2010 NCAA Tournament. The badgers will play the #13 seeded Wofford Terriers on Friday at 2:50 EST. This marks the 12th consecutive year that the Badgers have made the NCAA Tournament, the fifth longest active streak. Personally, I believe that Wisconsin deserved a #3 seed. However, I also though they could fall as low as a #5 as well. I did not want them to fall to a #5 seed to avoid the upset minded #5/12 matchup and I did not want them at a #4 seed because then they would have to play a #1 seed potentially in the Sweet 16. This year that is more important than ever because outside of Kansas and Kentucky, I believe the NCAA Tournament is wide open. There is a huge difference in playing any of the #1 seeds to the #2 seeds this year. Not like the gap is huge, but there is a difference. UW's chance to knock off a #2 seed would be much easier than a #1 and that is why I wanted them a #3 seed. Regardless, with Top 25 wins over Duke, Ohio St, Michigan St, Purdue, and Maryland, and Marquette I thought they deserved it. Regardless the road will not be easy. With a potential second-round matchup between either A-10 Champion Temple or Ivy League Champion, Cornell, who everyone seems to be talking about as a sleeper the task will be difficult. If the Badgers do advance out the the first two rounds they will more than likely have to play the #1 Kentucky Wildcats, who arguably have the most raw talent in the entire Field of 65. Who knows what can happen? Let the madness begin. Ten years ago in 2000, the Wisconsin Badgers did advance to the Final Four. Do you know where the Final Four was that year?...Indianapolis......coincidence or destiny???....Haha....
