The Green Bay Packers(9-4) jumped out to a 13-0 early lead and then fell behind 14-13, but capitalized on a key INT by SS Nick Collins late in the game which led to a TD and 2-point conversion and hung on to win the game by the score of 21-14 over the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field. The win was ugly, but who cares in a game where it is always good to sweap your traditional rival for the season. QB Aaron Rodgers struggled in the passing game, but RB Ryan Grant and the offensive line picked up the slack as he carried the ball 20 times for 137 yards and 2 TDs. In fact, RB Ryan Grant broke the first play of scrimmage for a 62-yard TD run to set the tone for the game. The Packers Defense also held the Bears to 59 yards rushing and intercepted Bears QB Jay Cutler 2 times to continue their dominance on the defensive side of the ball. CB Charles Woodson recorded one of those INTs to make and played well again in stating his case for NFL Defensive POY. The Packers have now won 5 straight to move to 9-4. The win also keeps the Packers in pace with an NFC Wild Card spot. Looking ahead to next week the Green Bay Packers travel to Heinz Field to play the struggling Pittsburgh Steeler(6-7) who have lost 5 straight and all but been eliminated from the AFC playoff picture. However, the Packers need to win on the road in a hostile in enviroment to keep pace in the NFC Wild Card picture. At atop the wild card standings and with three games to go(@ Steelers, Seahawks, @ Cardinals) the Packers control their own playoff destiny. GO PACK GO!!!
