Packers 17 Cowboys 7

WOW...What a difference one week makes. Coming off a very dissapointing loss to the previously winless Tamp Bay Bucaneers the week before, the Packers bounced back and beat the Dallas Cowboys(6-3) by the score of 17-7 at Lambeau Field. This was a critical game as this began a stretch of 3 games in 12 calendar days. With the victory the Packers improved their record to 5-4 and keep pace for a NFC Wild Card spot. The story of this game was the Green Bay Packers Defense. This may have been their best performance all year against a very good offensive team in the Cowboys.CB Charles Woodson played very well recording 1 INT and forcing 2 fumbles. It just blows my mind how well the acquisition of CB Charles Woodson has turned out for the Packers. His career seemed to be over after sub-par play and injury riddled seasons late in Oakland. His career has been jump started in Green Bay. Not only has he recorded 24 INT in his 3 years as a Packer, but I believe that their is no other CB in the entire league that plays as physical as he does against the run. CB Charles Woodson is not afraid to come up field and hit anyone. He has to be one of the best all-around corners in the league right now. Rookie LB clay Matthews also seems to be getting better week by week. Unbelievable how much of an uimpact he has made in his first year in the NFL. You can say that for all 3 of the LBs that were drafted out of USC last year. All three are now starting in the NFL in Clay Matthews(Packers), Brian Cushing(Texans, and Ray Mauluga(Bengals). WOW...that tells you just how talented the kind of players that USC brings in. The Packers Offense struggled at times, but they did what they needed to do and scored enough points to win the game. QB Aaron Rodgers lead the Packers on a 15 play 80-yard drive early in the fourth quarter to extend the lead to 10-0. This proved to be the difference in the game and put the Packers well on theior way to the victory. Great game to win. Needed to get the sour taste from last weeks dissapointing loss out of their mouths. Always feels good when the Packers can beat a traditional rival like the Dallas Cowboys. Next week, the Green Bay Packers will p[lay the San Francisco 49ers(5-5). This is again a critical game as the 49ers are also competing for a Wild Card berth as the Arizona Cardinals have taked control of the NFC West. If the Packers can shut down RB Frank Gore and the 49ers rushing attack and force them to beat them through the air, I see no reason as to why not the Packers can win the game. GO PACK GO!!!

Packers Rookie LB Clay Matthews scoops up the loose ball after CB Charles Woodson hit and strips Dallas QB Tony Romo.
